football(soccer) shin guard, shin pads get on the way?

My sin pads get on the way when I juggle the ball, even though I got new ones that are thinner and smaller.
They also sometimes get in the way when I kick a ball in movement and end up kicking it with the foot and with the shin pad.
What do proffesionals do about this?

ok when you wear your shin guards under the sucks , we usually tape em . Like under the shinguard ,or over it. But try to tape em while you re wearing socks couse youre gonna have problem if you tape em over ur body
