Cuba Libre
This will probably be my last post before I leave for Canada and Cuba on Friday. This time next week, I should be wandering El Malecon with my camera in one hand and (hopefully) a mojito in the other.
While I'd really like to update the site while I'm away, I'm told that the internet is hard to come by in Havana. I will, of course, be posting photos when I get back.

You gotta have faith
Recently, I approached some of you asking what you'd sing if you were to audition for a well-known reality TV show that asks participants to sing in front of a world-wide audience of millions before being verbally ripped to shreds by a panel of judges (you know the one I mean). Well thanks for all your suggestions, particularly Dusty for suggesting the Tenatious D.
So what was it all about? Well although I am known to be an enthusiastic participant in late-night karaoke, it wasn't me auditioning.

The evils of Flickr
I need help.
I've become hopelessly addicted to Flickr. Since first discovering it a few months back, I've been spending more and more time watching slideshows, nominating contacts and trying to get my head around interestingness (hmm... still not sure about this one). There are just so many fantastic images on the site. Some of my favourites are here, here and here.
The Flickr people also deserve credit for the many clever ways you can link the photos together (by tags, as sets, etc.) as well as the site's minimal design and simple interface. While I intend to continue displaying my photos on my own site using simpleviewer, Flickr is a great way to share/promote the stuff I'm working on and no doubt I'll post copies of my favorite photos there too.
